Four problems related to fuel injection have been reported for the 1996 Chevrolet Lumina. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
The fuel injection system was defective, it was service on 3 occasions.
Consumer smelled strong fumes inside vehicle. Consumer opened the hood, and noticed fuel leaking onto the engine from the fuel pressure valves.
There is a leak coming from power steering and from the " o" rings which is running from under the hood onto the engine.
This vehicle has experienced a engine check light on or flashing many times throughout the past couple of years. It has stalled on the highway & had to be towed in multiple times. Bulletins apply but the dealer said they had all been done, not according to the repair orders. It is an on going problem that they refuse to acknowledge despite the fact they have experienced the problem. Letter has been sent to the dealer president without resolution & now one sent to gm.
