Two problems related to power steering pump have been reported for the 1998 Chevrolet Lumina. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Consumer had difficulty making left turns at low speeds. Vehicle was taken to the dealer for inspection, and mechanic determined that the power steering pump needed to be replaced.
The steering wheel locked up after the vehicle had been sitting with the engine off. The consumer had taken the vehicle to a mechanic, and the mechanic replaced the rack and pinion and power steering pump.
