Engine Failure problems of the 1998 Chevrolet Malibu

Two problems related to engine failure have been reported for the 1998 Chevrolet Malibu. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Engine Failure problem

Failure Date: 09/01/1998

Engine failure. Engine would intermittently stop while vehicle was in motion, it would eventually restart. On the fifth occurence it would not restart (traveling 55mph in middle of s-curve. ) the only indication of a problem was when it was realized that power steering was lost and theft system and check engine indicators were on.

2 Engine Failure problem

Failure Date: 01/20/1998

Engine failed. Yh.
