Two problems related to other fuel system fuel gauge have been reported for the 1999 Chevrolet Malibu. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
The contact owns a 1999 Chevrolet Malibu classic. While driving approximately 45 mph, the fuel gauge failed to operate. The failure also occurred after the vehicle was refueled. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified. The failure mileage was unavailable.
Consuemr states after filling up the vehicle there is a strong gas smell. Took to dealer and dealer stated fuel injectors were leaking. Dealer replaced problem still occurred. Took back to dealer and they replaced the fuel pressure regulator and the smell went away. Please provide any further information.
