Fuel Injector problems of the 2000 Chevrolet Malibu

1 Fuel Injector problem

Failure Date: 03/28/2000

#5 fuel injector has had to be replaced at 27,963 miles and at 58,736 miles. Repair shop stated that #5 fuel injector is located close to the egr valve which puts off a lot of heat and may be contributing to the premature failure.

2 Fuel Injector problem

Failure Date: 01/01/1901

Nar 04/10/2003 it appears to the consumer that there is a design problem with the #5 fuel injector, it also insignificant that a fuel injector needs to be replaced every 28,000 miles. A fuel injector is not a maintenance problem. Please look into whether it is a design flaw and if Chevrolet will correct problem.
