The failure was diagnosed as being a broken top cable. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was contacted however, no further assistance was provided. The failure mileage was 113,000. Ap.

2 Transmission Stuck In Gear problem

Keep getting a message saying �esc off� , �traction control off� comes and goes. Sometimes seems like the vehicle is stuck in a gear makes a loud roar. Starts to vibrate while driving at certain speeds. Having a problem with brake light staying on a even after replacing switch. I have the recall problems for this year/model car but VIN doesn't seem to meet the qualifications.

3 Transmission Stuck In Gear problem

Failure Date: 07/18/2014

The contact owns a 2008 Chevrolet Malibu. The contact stated that the gear shifter failed. The contact also stated that when attempting to shift into park, the gear shifter would remain stuck in park. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for a diagnostic testing, who stated that the shift cable needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired.
