Anti-theft Controller problems of the 2013 Chevrolet Malibu

The contact owns a 2013 Chevrolet Malibu. While attempting to start the vehicle, the key was placed in the ignition, but failed to turn over. The contact stated that the key was stuck in the ignition and the anti-theft system locked up. As a result, the battery was drained and the contact became locked in the vehicle. The contact had to exit through the trunk. The anti-theft light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the anti-theft failed to allow the vehicle to start. The dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was unavailable.

While driving down the highway first the windshield wipers quit during a down pour, the anti traction was malfunctioning on the screen then said anti theft system needed service then the steering went out and locked the car down. All of this happened while the car remained running. Was very scary. Have done some research and it appears gm is aware of a problem. The car is currently at the dealership. No known reason why yet although the dealership stated it did this to them when they were trying to pull it in the garage. Gm needs to figure this out and issue a recall before there is serious injury including possible death the car was in motion on a highway when this occurred.

While I was driving the car kept shutting off and throwing it into theft mode. . . This happens on daily basis now and I'm scared it will cause an accident due to the continuous shutting off in the middle of driving in certain speeds. . . I see there is recalls on this which I do keep getting the anti theft deterrent system error message in my main screen when this happens. When will there be a recall for this on this year & model because I see so many complaints about this online?.
