Engine Shut Off Without Warning problems of the 2016 Chevrolet Malibu

I was driving on the freeway at a speed of 60 and all of a sudden a message pops up saying reduced speed and then it automatically went down to 20mph then engine shut off in the middle of the freeway luckily I didnt get hit. This could of caused me a horrible accident.

While on vacation road trip to several northwestern states, while turning around in a parking lot, about to exit, car completely shuts off - no warning lights or nothing, just shuts off, looked under hood, nothing unusual, waited about five minutes, car started with stiil no warning lights . We were able to make it back to texas with no other problems. Checked internet and there were no recalls - however there were several other occurrences of this happening to other Malibus. Upon return home phoned my dealership and made them aware of what happened, they informed me that they were not aware of anything like this happening, they encouraged me to file this complaint because there was nothing they could do at this time due to they have nothing stating this has happened.

Takata recall. The 2016 chevy Malibu 2016 stopped working while in motion, the engine shut off and steering wheel locked. Leaving me hanging and in a dangerous situation. The car completely turned off and I was unable to move the steering wheel. This happened while driving. No prior issues until this. I was completely in motion while it happened on my neighborhood street.

When I stopped at 3 red lights on my way to work this morning my car shut completely off with the auto off setting but it didn't shut off until I let go off the break and when I let go and it shut off my car started going backwards and then it powered back on.

While driving, engine loses power and the car shuts down. (this happens in traffic!).

Vehicle has been stopped or during turning or driving on city street or highway and shut off engine, engine light come on and had restart in traffic also radio screen misses up and on star does not work properly when it happens. Can't steer vehicle when it shuts down. About caused me to wreck 4 times. This vehicle is not safe for me or my passengers it has low miles and still under bumper to bumper warranty and chevy dealers have no clue the cause. Please contact me if you need more info I be glad to show u issues with it and I love someone to help me fix the unknown issues before it gets me or my child or someone else hurt.

The car stalls in traffic, losing all power. It doesn't start sometimes. Everytime I take it into the dealer the issue doesn't occur and they claim the computer is coming back clean. However, it dodent fo this all the time it can go weeks and drive just fine but at any given time will lose all power and shut off in the middle of traffic and done days take a very long time to start. It's very scary when your in traffic in the car shuts off then all the warning lights come on from stabilizer bar warning, to engine light. It's dangerous and scary with my child in the car at times on san diego highways. A car should not just shut off or take forever to start when everytime I take it to the dealer they claim the readings are fine. I also see I'm not the only one having this problem with this year and model. Gm Chevrolet want be satisfied until someone is seriously hurt with this issue losing power while driving.

Takata recall: I've been having an issue with my 2016 Malibu it will stop and take a few minutes to start up. While driving it will go in safety driving mode and I can't go on faster than 20 miles. I haven't had my car for a year before it start giving me problems. I didn't make it on time before my warranty expire. Right at this time I can't afford to pay to get it fix 380. . . After calling the dealership and spoke with the manager he stated that my car is the 3rd complaint about the same issue. I have 4 sons and I really don't like when it shut down on us while I'm driving. This issue happen atleast 3 times a week. . .
