One problem related to abs brake fail has been reported for the 1999 Chevrolet Monte Carlo. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
When driving in rain would apply brakes, and abs system would fail to work until it dried out. Pedal would get hard. Took to dealer & mechanic put on a new set of pads & rotors. Been to dealer twice & finally informed brakes work normally.
