Two problems related to side/window air bag have been reported for the 2000 Chevrolet Monte Carlo. The most recently reported issues are listed below. Vehicle was involved in a 55 mph collision in which a deer was hit head-on, passengers side air bag deployed, but drivers side air bag deployed partially, cause unknown. Consumer states that the drivers side air bag fully deployed later at the body shop, consumer would like information as to why this happened.
Consumer's airbag didn't go off upon impact. Vehicle was hit from behind & knocked into the rear of another vehicle. Pontiac manufacturer has inspected vehicle, but hasn't given any input to the problem.
