Two problems related to exterior rearview mirror have been reported for the 1997 Chevrolet Silverado. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Exterior mirrors loosen from the housing area which causes the mirrors to move around and vibrate while traveling at 40 mph or more. Also, causes poor visibility. Dealer notified. Replacements of the same type had the same problem. Owner asked dealer to replaced mirrors with a different type.
Side rear view mirrors shake to the point where the view is obstructed when driving at highway speeds. Dealer has replaced the mirrors twice. Problem is still present.
