Air Bag Not Deploy problems of the 1998 Chevrolet Silverado

Three problems related to air bag not deploy have been reported for the 1998 Chevrolet Silverado. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Air Bag Not Deploy problem

Failure Date: 10/12/2008

Vehicle left roadway and went into a drainage ditch. The airbags failed to deploy resulting in the drivers death.

2 Air Bag Not Deploy problem

Failure Date: 02/15/2003

The vehicle was involved in a frontal collision at 40 mph, however the air bags failed to deploy.

3 Air Bag Not Deploy problem

Failure Date: 01/27/1999

My wife was involved in a collision at 40 mph, in which the air bag did not deploy. Due to this failure, she began having premature contractions ( 7 1/2 months pregnant) after hitting the steering wheel of the vehicle with her stomach. Also caused her to be hospitalized for 2 days. Accident occurred to the front of the vehicle.
