One problem related to automatic transmission park/neutral start switch has been reported for the 1998 Chevrolet Silverado. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Consumer was at stop sign and when light turned green he proceeded to cross the intersection. Vehicle shifted to first gear and into reverse, and stripped reverse gear out due electrical part inside of transmission. Dealership was aware of problem.
