One problem related to fuel hoses lines/piping and fittings has been reported for the 1998 Chevrolet Silverado. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
In wet conditions fuel shut off switch will activate, causing fuel to stop getting into engine, resulting in vehicle quitting to run( stalled). There is no override button ,it must be reset by computer.
