Six problems related to tire tread/belt have been reported for the 1998 Chevrolet Silverado. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
While traveling about 40mph on the highway, without prior warning the driver side tire tread separated. Please fill in any additional information. Dealer was made aware of the problem. The tire is p2657516 firestone wilderness #at.
Severe tread separation over ten inches of inside right front tire nearly causing loss of control in i70 canyon. Dealer will do absolutely nothing . Replaced at my full cost with a goodyear tire (which owns kelly?). Any help here? (dot number: 91532697 tiresize: lt21585r16).

Original equipment on a 1998, Chevrolet, Silverado, lt245/75r16 size, dot#:vniibab318. At highway speeds left rear tire sidewall blewout around the whole rim. Firestone 245/75/r16.
The consumer will fill information concerning tire tread separation.
Tires were taken to be balanced. Dealer informed consumer that tread was coming off the passenger's rear. It wasn't visible. Rotating machine diagnosed the problem. Consumer has a 1998, Chevrolet, Silverado with original tires. Tire size lt245/75r16, dot# unknown.
