One problem related to front seat belt anchorage has been reported for the 2001 Chevrolet Silverado. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Seatbelt sysem is not designed for people over 6. 6" tall. In an accident, it could cause injury to consumer's back. The consumer had contacted the manufacture if adapter device or other seat options was available for tall persons, but the answer was none to both. Then, the consumer asked if the manufacture would buy back the vehicle the answer was they would not. The vehicle does not meet the safety requirements for the consumer's height and the manufacturer should be held responsible to solve the problem.
