One problem related to diesel fuel system tank assembly has been reported for the 2005 Chevrolet Silverado. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
9/2/2005; the fuel gauge failed on the vehicle. I took the vehicle in for service/repair and was told that the chevy engineers were looking into find the problem. 9/27/2005; I ran out of fuel on the front tank. The rear tank of the truck was full. I took the vehicle in for service/repair and was told that the fuel gauge problem and the transferring of fuel between the tanks. The problem has not been fixed as of yet. I am still awaiting an answer from Chevrolet.
