One problem related to power train driveline has been reported for the 2006 Chevrolet Silverado. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
The information displays 4wd service constantly. In addition, the 4wd selection buttons show the 4wd to be in "n-neutral" or "no-lights displayed" when the truck is in motion and under power, and in "4l-4 low" with the truck sputtering erratically, but definitely not in 4l. All without being selected. So far I have discovered if I select "auto" the 4wd service light does not display. This issue is recurring and has been "repaired" previously by a dealership.
