One problem related to steering tie rod assembly has been reported for the 2006 Chevrolet Silverado. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6) we have a 2006 Silverado Chevrolet truck [xxx] . There has been a squeaking in the steering-wheel column, and the car is becoming increasingly difficult to steer. A mechanic found that the inner tie rods need to be replaced and a part of the steering column needs to be replaced. A local dealership says, "there is no recall" even though there was an earlier recall on Chevrolet-truck steering systems. The manufacturer instructed us to get in touch with you.
