Four problems related to seat belt have been reported for the 2007 Chevrolet Silverado. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
The drives seat belt buckle will not latch. Part # 19121537.
The contact owns a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado. While parked, the vehicle rolled away. Upon further inspection, the contact noticed that the emergency brake fractured and multiple warning lights were illuminated. The contact also stated that there were multiple messages displayed across the message board. In addition, the contact stated that the seat belt failed to buckle. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The failures recurred on numerous occasions. The manufacturer was not notified of the failures. The failure mileage was 60,000.
The service airbag message lighted on the dashboard followed by an explosion. Seat belts tightened and locked. The dealership verified complaint, found sdm internally shorted. Needed new sdm and both front pretensioners and control module. Total cost of repair was $1445. 99.
Latch failed would not latch. If I was in an accident I could have injured . I would think the seat belts would last longer than 5 years.
