Cylinder 4 misfire code which lead dealer to diagnose a bad lifter with cam damage, new piston rings needed, entire engine needed to be replaced. Cost $7,000 + afm contributed to problem in this model year per service department. Truck never hauled, or plowed with. Regular oil changes and maintenance done on time for entire ownership.
Driving at night at 55 mph, the truck intermittently lost power but did not completely quit; the low beam headlights blew and went off.
