Two problems related to vehicle speed control have been reported for the 2012 Chevrolet Silverado. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
The contact owns a 2012 Chevrolet Silverado. The contact stated that the accelerator pedal was depressed, the vehicle failed to move. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who was unable to duplicate the failure. The vehicle had not been repaired. The manufacturer was not notified. The approximate failure mileage was 1,000.
When you try to accelerate, the truck does not respond. The truck acceleration feels like their is a flat spot in the acceleration. This is very dangerous. Several of my family members have almost gotten in terrible t-bone accidents due to this malfunction. Brought the truck to the local dealership & the said they replaced the throttle position sensor & it is worse now.
