The contact owns a 2013 Chevrolet Silverado. The contact stated while driving approximately 5 mph the contact had gone over a speed bump when she heard a loud noise like the tail pipe had detached from it's mounts and was banging against the bottom of the vehicle. She also stated that the rear end of the vehicle had seemed to drop closer to the roadway than normal. The contact stated no lights were illuminated. The contact drove the vehicle to an independent mechanic who advised that the entire bottom and suspension arms, braces and frame had rusted through in many large areas and had rendered the vehicle to dangerous to continue driving. The contact stated that she contacted her insurance provider who had the vehicle towed to a collision shop. The vehicle had not been repaired. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 130,000.
