One problem related to fuel hoses lines/piping and fittings has been reported for the 1999 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
My 1999 chevy Silverado 1500 4wd vehicle would lurch and stall as if it weren't getting enough fuel. The fuel filter was replaced and 2 hours later the same symptoms occurred. Eventually the fuel pump and injectors #7 & #8 were replaced at a cost of $1413. 84. Three weeks later the same symptoms occurred. It has been determined that the fuel line is rusted out & there was a TSB #000604024; however, we were never notified of this. Replacement of the fuel line etc. Is now estimated to cost another $1500. 00. We will be asking for the old fuel line as proof of the rust that caused this problem.
