Failure of fuel pump in my 2001 5. 3 liter Chevrolet silverado to accurately determine amount of fuel in tank. When I fill my tank with fuel the gauge reads erratically, the needle pins itself in the empty position. The problem is constant and on going. I notified gm and they offer no repair yet this same problem qualified as a recall for repair on the 2001 model suburban with the 5. 3 liter engine.
