Driving on the freeway doing 50mph is a severe storm when the right rear tire suffered a belt separation causing spin and hitting backwards into a concrete center divide. The collision with the divide caused over $7500 worth of damage. It was reported to the manufacturer - this tire was a super swamper radial tsl 33x14. 5 r16 with approximately 24k miles on them.
Tire failure- adventurer p245/75r16; no indication of tire stress or low pressure. I rotate and check tire pressure monthly. Proceeding on i95 in las vegas nv 2001 chevyrolet silverado truck rear tire lost the tread around whole tire. After sliding sideways for 1 second at 65 mph. I gained control of vehicle. Proceeded to exit highway safely. Tread of tire came of like a retreat damaging $3,000 estimated body work. I purchased tires at pep boys 3490 e. Sunset rd. Las vegas nv. Tires have 60,000 mile warranty with only less than 20,000 miles on them. Pep boys will not even prorate tires for me because there is severe damage to truck and adventurer is a discontinued tire from cooper tires. I have perchased 8 of these tires for both trucks I own and do not trust them even though they look and feel new. Pep boys will not help and tells me to contact cooper tires. I can't even get them to take down my odometer or look at damaged tire. I cannot trust my families safety on these discontinued tires. Tires are adventuer p245/75r16 manufactured by cooper tires.
