Failure Date: 06/02/2008

Abs brake system engages at low speed when braking, pedal pulsates. Began June 2008, 22000 miles, replaced pads, rotors, speed sensors, symptom stopped. May 2009 started again 26000 miles, still looking for cure.

2 Brake Antilock Wheel Speed Sensor problem

Failure Date: 01/17/2007

The contact owns a 2005 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. When the contact applied pressure to the brake pedal, the abs failed and the pedal extended to the floor. The vehicle was unable to be stopped. The dealer replaced both slow speed abs sensors at the cost of $212 each. The manufacturer did not assist. The failure mileage was 16,000 and current mileage was 18,000.
