1 Air Conditioner problem

Failure Date: 08/18/2014

My wife noticed a noise while riding with me and I determined that it was the air conditioners compressor motor. Within a few days the motor failed. It is out of warranty and they want $1000. 00 to fix it at the dealership. I priced an independent shop and it was over $800. This should not fail at 55,000 miles as over 3/4 of those were driven when no air conditioner was used. It's sad that you pay $40k+ for a vehicle and the main systems fail before the loan is even paid off. I guess it's back to rolling down the windows as $1000 to fix it is not within my budget.

2 Air Conditioner problem

Failure Date: 10/10/2010

When the air temp starts to drop to about 35 degrees the truck automatically turns off the air conditioner compressor and if there is any moisture on the coil it is then blown into the cab of the truck and severely fogs up the inside windows making it impossible to see out. Had to pull over and keep windows down until the moisture evaporated. (shower effect on mirror).
