Front Driver Side Air Bag Inflator problems of the 2010 Chevrolet Silverado 1500

I received a safety recall on July 2016 takata inflators gm recall number 49151 as of this date we have not heard-received next step information.

Takata recall--I called (11/7/17) my chevy dealership as soon as I received the "important legal notice for owners of vehicles with takata airbag inflators" to schedule an appointment per instruction on postcard. My chevy dealer says the parts to repair the airbags are not available yet. The original recall letter came out in 2016. I am concerned as the postcard mentions personal injury or death. Please advise.

Tl-takata recall. The contact owns a 2010 Chevrolet silverado. The contact received NHTSA campaign number: 16v381000 (air bags) for the front passenger air bag inflator and however, the parts to do the repair was unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was notified of the issue. VIN tool confirms parts not available.

"takata recall" I have had a takata air bag recall on my vehicle since may 2016. I have contacted the local dealership and the Chevrolet manufacturer for repairs and they continue to tell me parts are not available for repair. I have also filed a claim on the takata airbag inflator claim and notification center hosted by prime clerk llc. I cannot sell my vehicle to a private party because of the air bag recall. It is taking way too long for repairs and this is causing a hardship. This is a major safety issue and parties need to be held accountable for their slow and unresponsive actions.
