Air Conditioner problems of the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500

I currently own a 2014 Chevrolet silverado and have it in she shop because the air conditioner was blowing out hot air. Upon the dealer inspection they determined a hole to be in the condenser by the radiator causing a big leak.

1) transmission when out while driving at 55 ml per hour, truck only had 107,000 miles had to replace transmission more like a rebuild transmission from the dealer. 2) my air conditioner when out 9 months later after replacing transmission, there was a leak on the a/c condenser, dealer replace the condenser two years later air conditioner when out a gain with the same problem a/c condenser leaking the condenser that dealer replace. This's not coment and I think gm needs step in to the plate and looked in to this transmission issues and air conditioner condenser leaking refrigeran.

My air conditioning continues to go out and leak out the fluids,I have had the system checked and a leak could not be found. I live in az. And need cooling while using my vehicle. The lack of cooling causes me to get over heated and even causes me to become physically ill, I should have a good working system,I have research and all 2014 chevy silverado have the same problem. Clearly this is a problem that the manufacturer is aware of and dealers don't have any replacement parts. I become I'll everytime I have to use my truck,its 112 degrees in az and I don't have ac. . .

The air conditioning condenser split at the seams, loss of all coolant.

My air conditioner started blowing only hot air and I noticed a leak in the condenser. This is apparently a huge issue which gm knows about with 2014-2016 silverados. There have been lawsuits filed and many complaints submitted. There is obviously a faulty part or parts that gm knows about and refuses to acknowledge.

Compressor for air conditioning seized up and caused the belt to brake the condenser was also heavily leaking. First comment out of the service managers mouth was this is a very common problem with silverados and sierras. Don't know why the SUV were recalled and the trucks were not. With only 30000 miles it is very unacceptable.

Problem with the a/c unit not staying cold. On line found that gm knew about defective a/c units before vehicles were even touched the dealers lots. Two defective components- (1)-line leading from the compressor to the condensor. (2)-defective air conditioner condensers. System was filled a/c returned after two days warm again-this a repair the dealer should be held responsible for and to have repaired with no cost to customer. Vehicle was tested by me stationary and again while driving . Noticeable smoke could be seen on and off when truck is running being stationary.

Takata recall, my 2014 Chevrolet silverado 6. 2l high country has had air conditioning problems since I bought it, the ac lines develope pin hole size leaks even after fixing it over and over, the ac line has no brackets or brace to keep the line from moving or shifting when driving on ruff terrain or some what bumpy roads. I've had 6 leaks fixed year after year never in the same spot, the ac lines design is horrible and I'm tired of paying for something that should had been prevented or recalled by now!! almost everybody with these models and year of trucks have issues with the ac, it's time to fix the problems now!!.

Welds on air conditioning condenser/transmission cooler failed causing the freon to be released and ac system to fail. Vehicle was traveling on the interstate when this occurred.

Defective air conditioning. The truck has an air conditioning system fail before it hit 65k. And being less than 4 years old. Really frustrating when a dealer wants 1100 to 1300 dollars to fix something that should not be broken after only 65k mi.

Truck has 53,000 miles and air condition went out. No longer covered by warranty according to chevy dealer.

We started having a problem with our air condition for 3 months now, it just blows warm air. We tried taking it to the dealer but was told that it was not covered with the warranty. We found out that there was a leak in the condenser. I've found out that there was so much people complaining with the same issue & with the same vehicle. Whether the car was running or stationary or in which road it was going the air conditioner does not work at all it was just blowing hot air.

Air conditioning-gm has known about the wide spread problem of there air conditioners in my truck as well as many other trucks just like mine. However they do not issue a recall for the problem which should have be done and many people agree on this issue because the part which is the condinser is a critical part in the air condition system.

The contact owns a 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact stated that the air conditioning unit emitted hot air inside the vehicle. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the air conditioner condenser needed to be replaced and that an elbow hose was leaking fluid. The local dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified and did not assist. The failure mileage was 68,000.

The air conditioner condenser has a small leak causing the refrigerant to leak out. This is a known problem with all gm silverados 2014-2017 and a recall needs to be issued. They are all leaking in the same place due to a faulty weld from the factory. This is a $1200 repair.

I believe my truck has a manufacturer defect in the air conditioner condenser. My air conditioning stopped working and now only blows warm air. I was driving when this happened.

The air conditioning condenser was not engineered to a reasonable quality specification. This condition caused it to crack and allow the freon to leak out. I replaced the condenser and reciever dryer (since the system was unpressurized) and then pay a professional to evacuate the system and recharge it. I work with another owner of a 2014 silverado. He had the exact same problem. That's what prompted my to see if there was a recall. I also saw a brief segment on chicago nbc news (youtube) about this problem. General motors not taking responsibility yet. Please help!.

We have had trouble with our transmission going into neutral while driving. Loses power as if it were put into neutral. Also our air conditioning is horrible.

The air conditioning system failed because of a leaking condenser with only 51,000 miles on the truck. Researched and found this to be a frequent problem that gm is aware of. Gm needs to recall this and repair these vehicles. I wrote to chevy and they will not reimburse the fees I had to pay for repair. The issue needs to be addressed, this system failing when just outside warranty is not right.

At 41,000 miles the air conditioner compressor and hoses had to be replaced. And when headlamps are on and I hit the brakes or turn signals the dome light flashes.

The air conditioning condensers are known to be defective by gm and several local dealerships as well as local mechanics who are constantly replacing these on vehicles equipped with the 5. 3l v8. This applies to all gm vehicles with this motor. Owners are unable to get this fixed as oem parts are on national back-order with no eta. The back-order is due to gm having to re-manufacture the entire inventory while overwhelming demand for these replacement condensers grows. This is a $1,100 repair including parts and labor that should not be the burden of the consumer as gm has acknowledged this is due to a manufacturer defect. In the meanwhile we have to drive with our windows down which exposes us to exhaust fumes of other vehicles and debris being free to enter the vehicle. Nothing provoked this failed condenser as I was simply driving down the freeway at a normal speed and my air conditioner quickly became warmer as the refrigerant leaked out.

My air conditioniong started to blow hot air. I took to dealership and was diagnosed with needing a new ac condenser. Part is on national backorder with no estimated time. It is summer time and too hot to drive without ac.

The air conditioner quit working so I took it to the dealer. They ran the diagnosis on it and said that the a/c condenser has a leak at one of the welds on it. I asked if this was a common problem and they said they have seen several of the trucks with this problem. I believe there is a bigger problem because you can not get the part anywhere in the country and nobody knows when they will be available. Is there a recall in the works for this problem?.

Air conditioning line rubs and breaks, tech. Bulletin has dealership install bracket at your cost of course. Problem is it breaks again, and you get to spend another 400 bucks so you can use the air-conditioning. This is a manufacturer design flaw. That comes at the consumers' expense.

Air conditioning condensening coil went bad. Defective. Gm cant sell me one neither can after market aoto parts. None available because all have been pulled from market because they are defective. Should be a recall. Gm knows this is wide spread and wont acknowledge. Dealerships have wave of these bad.
