Tl the contact owns a 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. When reversing the vehicle and depressing the brake pedal more than twice, the vehicle failed to stop. The contact had to depress the brake pedal to the floorboard and shift into neutral to stop the vehicle. The contact called dow autoplex (located at 1313 s pacific st, mineola, TX 75773, (903) 569-9117) and was informed that an unknown recall would cover only up to 72,000 miles for the brake vacuum pump. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified. The failure mileage was 105,994.

The failure occurred on multiple occasions. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who diagnosed that the brake vacuum pump was faulty and needed to be replaced.
