Other Fuel System problem #1

Was driving at highway speeds when truck shuttered and rattled and quickly slowing down. Warning errors on dash stated "reduced acceleration, drive with care", "service emissions system", "service traction control", "service esc". Got vehicle to dealer and they confirmed the error code (p0202 - covered under powertrain warranty), but then also noted an error code for p129f where the truck would not start up. They are recommending a replacement of the fuel pump power control module. Gm had updated a NHTSA bulletin (original: n262558690 - emissions recall - fuel pump power control module - July 15, 2026) on August 12, 2026 that expanded the population of qualified models to include the 2022 GMC sierra 1500. However, on September 1 they issued an updated notice that said "gm has since identified certain 2022-2023 model year Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and GMC sierra 1500 vehicles that were erroneously included in this recall and are not affected by the condition. " I believe my truck was originally included in the recall, was removed two weeks ago, and now my dealer has subsequently diagnosed a fuel pump power control module failure with dtc p129f and recommended replacement this all follows a warranty repair I had to get two weeks ago on my engine coolant control valve (p1098), which was covered under powertrain warranty.

Other Fuel System problem #2

While driving this 2026 chevy silverado, the engine has shut off while driving it. While driving down the road the engine will shut off and a message on the display will show "return to neutral" and "press start". This is very dangerous to have a vehicle shut off while driving down the road as it affect my family and other drivers on the road. The vehicle need to be completely stopped to shift to park, in order to start the vehicle again. There are no signs or warnings that this is going to happen, it just happens randomly. The dealer can not reproduce the problem but did confirm to me this has happened to several other same make/model vehicle that have been reported at the same dealership. On another unrelated safety issue with this same vehicle, the gas tank over flows when filling it up. Dealer was able to reproduce this problem, but doesn't know how to fix it yet. Is waiting to gm to approve what should be replaced, under warranty. This is dangerous for me and other people at gas stations. I can't fill my vehicle up all the way with fuel, otherwise it runs down the side of the vehicle and on to the ground where it is very flammable.

Other Fuel System problem #3

The engine cut itself off and shifted itself into neutral as I was slowing down and turning left into the gas station. It is available for inspection. My safety was at risk because had this happened on a legal road way, it could’ve caused someone to rear end me or t-bone me because I would’ve unexpectedly stopped, or the power steering may not have worked and I could’ve run into something. It has not been reproduced by any mechanic, only me. It has happened to me only twice within a 400 mile span. It has been inspected by a gm dealership twice now and is currently still at the dealership. There were no warnings of any kind before, during, or after the occurrence.

On xxx I was driving from [xxx] to my sister's house in [xxx]. I was relocating to [xxx] for a job. I was pulling a u-haul trailer (6x12) that contained significantly less weight than the truck can handle. About halfway there, on back roads, the truck suddenly slowed significantly and the gas pedal was unresponsive. The light in the dashboard read reduced acceleration - drive with caution. Pulled over, turned off truck, opened driver side door, to reset the truck (read this on google). We had to do this a couple times, because it would just go back to that behavior after a bit. We made it to my sister's house to stay the night. In the morning, xxx, I called the local chevy service dept in [xxx] and asked if I could bring it in, I described the problem. During the drive to the shop, the same issue occurred. Upon arriving at the service dept, the trailer app was giving a warning that the load may be heavier than max. Which cannot be true. The dealer techs said they had never seen anything like it before, but they seemed to know what to look for. They then informed me that they could not loan me a car because I was traveling out of state. I had a deadline, so my only option was to rent a u haul box truck, unload the back of my truck into it, hitch the trailer I already had to it, and drive to [xxx] information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).
