Passenger side brake/tail light stay on constantly even when vehicle is shut off and key is out of ignition. Driver side brake/tail light works fine, customer had to disconnect harness to prevent battery from going dead. When you put the truck in reverse, the rear back up camera display is always extremely bright, regardless of the setting of the dimmer switch or automatic dimmer settings. This causes a safety issue at night when backing up, as the driver's night vision is completely diminished as soon as you put the truck in reverse. The display becomes so bright the driver loses their night vison and is also unable to use their mirrors.

The rear driver side lamp started flickering and eventually was completely dead. On inspecting, it was found that the earthing brown wire pin in the connector was completely burnt and it also burnt the area right on the spot where it connects to the lamp panel.

The infotainment screen brightness is set too high, such that turning the brightness setting down enough for the infotainment screen to not be too bright turns the backlighting on the instrument cluster down to where it's almost unreadable. In this specific case I was trying to use apple maps through carplay for navigation in an unfamiliar rural area, where lighting on the roads is almost inexistent besides in towns. During the day it's not too much of an issue, but any time between dusk and dawn one must make a choice between visibility out the windshield and being able to quickly read anything on the instrument cluster. It is my opinion that this issue is enough of a safety hazard to force gm to make changes, but unfortunately isn't the most egregious "feature" of this screen. That title belongs to what happens when you put the vehicle in reverse at night. It seems whoever designed it thought the view of the backup camera on the infotainment screen is the only thing you should be able to see, since it changes the brightness back to its daytime setting. This makes seeing out of the vehicle in any direction where the screen is even slightly in your view almost impossible. It also means you must wait a second or two for your eyes to adjust if you want to, for example, look at the backup camera on the screen then look out the rear window. In my case, even looking out the rear window into a garage with a light on was difficult after looking at the backup camera view. Add to all of this any kind of vision issues like needing prescription glasses or contacts, and your eyes are constantly trying to adjust between being able to see what your next turn might be and being able to read any signage that may be present. Simply put, it seems gm took the idea of making the vehicle a rolling Smart device to be the primary use, even above having the ability to see where you're going safely.

I bought a 2007 silverado truck from a dealer with out the warranty,but were told later that if you do not buy the warranty we do not fix anything wrong with the truck. It had saftey issues like the license plate lights were not working,bad tire stem,wippers control not working all the time,and a bad real seal leak putting oil on the roads. I’ve only owned my 2015 chevy Silverado 1500 for 8 months now and I’ve been noticing my paint starting to bubble and I popped one and water came pouring out I have also had to change my left rear turn signal twice my top light socket keeps melting and you can just buy a pig tail you have to get all three light sockets and they are 136. 89 and the sound in the truck don’t also work if the truck sits longer then 5 hours I have no sound and I’ve replaced battery already I also will get a clicking noise from under the steering wheel when the truck turns off it lasts from 1 min to 15 mins and stops thank you.

My vehicle's headlamps are so dull I can't see at night. I contacted gm and they offered to replace them if I would pay half the cost , which I was going to do , but I had a heart attack and surgery & was in intensive care for almost a month. When I became able to come home , after I missed my appointment due to this situation , I contacted gm and they said they were not going to help me because I didn't have it done in time. My vehicle is always parked in a garage and well kept. The headlamps are very dull and dangerous to drive at night. I would like gm to replace them as I believe this is a manufacture's defect. I was a gm dealer for several years and don't believe this is their usual practice , giving them the benefit of the doubt. These are dangerous as I can't see at night and oncoming traffic can't see me either clearly. Please help me. This is dangerous!.

Unknown when driving vehicle will randomly and often lose power -- the radio and dash lights go out, the steering wheel locks up -- sometimes the vehicle will have to be restarted.

Transmission lags between 1st & 2nd gear some times as long as 3 seconds making transfer case hit hard . I have had this truck at the dealer 2 are 3 times with this and other matters , the maintenance technician reports he can not reduplicate my grievance , this malfunction occurs more prominently in cold weather in morning on first take off . All so turn signal malfunction at random no particular pattern , tech. All so unable to reduplicate .

Water filtration from the shark antenna and rear third light, with possible short on a dash board and instrumental panel (already occurred more than once with no light on a instrumental panel and no function of the all gauges including speed gauge) the problem happened especially on rainy days on stationary vehicle and also in a driving conditions bolt city and highway time. The photo showing are only the recent but the problem happened several times before than now. This time was the worst ever.

At low speeds my brakes stop working. The brake pedal becomes very stiff and I have to use both feet pushing down as hard as I can for the vehicle to stop. Also,the head light switch inside the vehicle does not work. When I turned the dial off of the auto lights I saw smoke coming out from behind the dial.

Driving at low speed lights flicker lose power steering truck stops running steering locks up.

This has happened several times on a 2014 chevy silverado I bought Apr 2020. The first time was Sep 2020 and diagnosis from the mechanic showed nothing found. Only showed error code that communication with the computer was lost. Code was cleared and it did not do it again until 2 Mar 2021. Upon initial ignition, the message window read "action needed. Roll driver window down and back up, I did this and then it went away. After driving on a flat, paved, dry road at about 35 mph. For no apparent reason, my truck displayed a message that said "stability control", the engine reved, rpms shot up to 5k and instrument cluster flicker several times, radio turned off and then returned to normal. A short time later at a light and the message appeared again, the radio and cluster completely shut off and then the truck suddenly died. I put it in park, and it restarted immediately, only to do it again (started again as well). The first two times this happened, the truck came back on without issue and I was able to safely pull over into a parking lot. It happened again within minutes of the second time and I had just pulled into a parking lot. This time, the truck completely died (no electricity, no ability to use blinkers, hazards, no power steering or brakes ect. Complete outage. After 10 minutes of it not coming on or starting, I called aaa to tow it and while on the phone (approx 30 minutes, it came back to life on its own (radio, instrument panel came on) and it started. I tried to drive it home, and at one light, it died again but restarted and I was able to get it home to make an appointment. I am writing this because of the dozens of cases of the same issues (some of which vehicles died while at driving speeds) with similar year and model gm vehicles on forums. This is a very dangerous issue which does not have a solution by gm and needs to be documented.

When I am driving I turn the blinker on or press the brake and the stable track comes on truck turns off at low speeds when I am turning the wheel or pressing the brake took it to the chevy dealership and nothing I tell them I almost crashed due to this issue and they say it's your hole wired electrical system that doesn't make sense I tell them I need recalls done and they still do nothing.

Vehicle was in motion with the steering wheel turned into position to maneuver a reverse park. Vehicle loses all power and unable to restart, but the lights flicker. I just bought my new silverado yesterday, and when I drove it for the first time at night I realized that the infotainment display stays extremely bright even when the instrument cluster is dim. This is dangerously distracting while driving at night. The model I have does not givee an option to adjust the infotainment screen separately.

Truck displays loss of power steering and shuts off everything electrical. When I'm driving at any speeds and turn steering way to fast to either side I'll get message stability trak turned off and followed by radio losing power. Sometimes truck shuts off completely and sometimes truck just acts like it wants to shut off but remains on. There's times where I'll get the message for driver window to roll up and down and windows lose power. I've taken truck to dealership several of times just to lose out on money every time because they haven't fixed the problem and just keep charging.

Imy 2013 chevy z21 has started leaking sround the light on top and back light on the hood of the truck. I noticed wet spot on back part of headliner and some mold in the area. I have found where other people have said the same problem on their 2013 silverado, I can't found any recalls on this. I feel there needs tio be a recall from what I have found about this. . My 3 year old son rides in the backseat right where the leak is. And I'm afraid it could make him sick.

Transmission pump all of sudden rent out driving down highway.

When driving my 2017 chevy silverado at lower speeds my steering wheel locks up when turning bringing my truck to an abrupt stop, once in the middle of a street. While the steering wheel locks all the electrical and lights on the inside of the truck shut off and on and my stabilitrak message pops on my screen followed by service trailer brake. It started happening just here and there about a month ago but now it is happening every day. Im scared to drive my truck this is getting dangerous! going to have to take it into the dealership ASAP.

When backing up the truck at night the center screen gets so bright that you cannot see anything from the rearview mirror or side mirrors the backup camera itself is a very poor quality camera at night and there is no option to dim the brightness of the screen or turn off the camera so I can see at the rearview mirror instead.

My lights in the dash inside the truck. Go from bright, to dark black all the time since April 2020. My 4 wheel drive engage, wont work. 12/12/2020 in the snow trying to drive home.

Defroster button illumination is intermittent. This could lead to a crash while seeking to find and operate the defroster activation while driving under low light conditions. The vehicle has 46,500 miles on it, and the repair is stated at $700 which involves a replacement heater module with the same defective bulbs and requiring a common data bus programming fee, and is, according to the dealer, not user serviceable.

Brake sensor went off,lights stayed on inside cab,radio screen and lights inside went out,tailgate went down while being driven and tools etc were lost. Radio came on and changed channels non stop for almost an hour even after shutting vehicle off 4 timea. After 8 hrs it was back to normal.

Head light housings micro cracking on the lens. This adversely affects the brightness and seems to blind on coming drivers! over time these continue to get worse. Note in the question "when did this happen/" it doesn't allow over time so I am inserting todays date.

Backup camera only is functional in perfect weather conditions. If it's dark with no light, the camera has resolution similar to a 1950 tube tv. If it's rainy or cloudy, the backup camera is not functional either. There are numerous yellow lines and extremely poor quality picture in many other conditions too. Chevy has not done anything to fix this issue in my truck. The visibility is so bad I hit my trailer hitch on the bumper 7� off of my hitch location. I couldn't see that my trailer was that close to me on the screen.

When putting the vehicle in reverse when its dark the back up camera comes on the radio screen. When doing so the brightness of the screen causes the inability for my eyes to adjust timely. This brightness also causes my inability to safely use my side mirrors because of this blinding effect. There is no way to dim nor turn off this feature. This has always done this since delivery and I've been to the dealer multiple times for other software updates and recalls. This still hasn't been addressed and is a major safety concern.

~tl-the contact owns a 2015 Chevrolet silverado. The contact stated that when he starts the vehicle the audible indicator lights do not work. This includes the indicator sound for when the vehicle is in reverse to warn of any possible collisions. The passenger side indicator sound if the seatbelt and door being ajar does not work. The indicator lights for anithieft protection and rollaway prevention do not work as well. The vehicle was not covered by a recall. The manufacturer said the vehicle was not covered by a recall and transfered the contact back to the dealer. The vehicle was unrepaired parked at the contact;s home. The failure mileage was 65,000. Tf.

The display for the back up camera at night is too bright and I can't dim it. I can't see out my mirrors to back up it's so bright. It's a hazard to drive.

The infotainment system goes to max brightness at night blinding the driver making it near impossible to use mirrors. There is no adjustment to correct this.

While driving at low speed example turning into a parking spot, making a u-turn (onto major roadway) coming to a stop the vehicle shuts down losing all power lights engine shuts off. Stereo presets are gone you have to throw the vehicle into park and restart it making it a very scary vehicle. A couple warnings come up on the dic. Check stability track and open and close driver side window.
