One problem related to brakes failed has been reported for the 1999 Chevrolet Silverado 2500. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Brakes failed to respond and almost went over a restraining wall two times. On other occassions when braking, the brakes would release and I would have to slowly reapply breaks to slow down or push the brake pedal all the way to the floor. This could be extremly dangerous if I was towing my horse trailer. Have not been able to find any recalls about this problem and I am the original owner.
