The failure occurred intermittently. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer, who was unable to duplicate the failure. The technician advised the contact to adjust the brightness on the instrument panel to prevent the failure. The manufacturer was notified and provided no further assistance. The approximate failure mileage was 3,400.
