1 Gasoline Fuel System problem of the 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 2500

Failure Date: 03/17/2016

My truck has a major exhaust leak that flows into the cab of my truck. It has a duramax diesel engine. I noticed after I first bought the truck, so I thought it was normal and told my family members it was normal. 6 months after the purchase, I noticed that my sense of smell and taste was lacking. My doctors had no explanation on why I have lost my ability to smell. I drove 3 times in 2 years to seattle,wa and every time I arrived I was incapacitated. I has a sore throat, cough, and diarrhea for a week. After returning home on these trips, the same sickness had taken over my body. The dealership replaced an egr part and claimed the part was leaking and my problem was solved on 9/6/2018. I made one trip of six hundred miles 1 week after the repair and was so sick afterwards, I started looking for answers myself I bought a carbon monoxide detector and it starts beeping at 100 ppm within 2 minutes after starting my truck, and the detector starts beeping with my window down. Right now I am waiting for a call from my dealer to repair the problem, my truck has 58,000 miles, and I am afraid to drive it anywhere because my nose is still burning from driving 2 miles round trip to a local post office on 9/17/2018. I believe I am lucky to be alive and the leak is progressing immensely. I have all the co2 and nox poison symptoms. There is a noxious smell, since co2 is odorless, the smell is no2 or nox. The problem is with the downpipe off the turbo and the flanges holding the parts together. I want someone to know about this problem before someone dies and it goes unnoticed, if it has not happened already. The problem is with the downpipe off the turbo and the flanges holding the parts together are defective. Since the parts are made in china, I was wondering how they could be defective. I don't believe a communist country would want to harm an american unnoticeably.

2 Gasoline Fuel System problem of the 2003 Chevrolet Silverado 2500

Failure Date: 09/11/2013

When driving the truck whether on a regular street or at high speeds on the highway, the engine suddenly either dies, reduces down to idle speed or idles very roughly. The reduced power signal comes on, along with the engine light. This has happened to us, several times while driving on the highway and on regular streets. We were extremely lucky not to have been killed. I researched this and found that many owners of the 2003 chevy Silverado 2500hd had the same problem. We spent a lot of money at penske Chevrolet, and according to them, they don't know how to fix it. We bought the truck in 8/2013, without any warranty and this problem was not disclosed to us. Since 12/2013, the problem has become more frequent and now we don't drive the vehicle because it is just too dangerous. There has to be some way to fix this problem and the Chevrolet company has to know about this because there are so many complaints out there.

3 Gasoline Fuel System problem of the 2004 Chevrolet Silverado 2500

Failure Date: 07/23/2011

I was backing truck into drive way moving about 5mph and applied brakes to put truck into reverse and brake petal went to floor did not stop truck. Steel brake line ruptured where the abs module is under the truck right below driver seat. All brake lines look extremely rusty. Truck is a 2004 2500hd crew cab 4x4. I bought brand new and it has 47,212 miles. I pull a 7000 lbs. Camper and I'm glad it happened in my driveway. In June the rubber gas line failed pumping 15 gallons of gas onto bottom of truck and ground on the way to work (27 miles). Once again, I was lucky. I prefer to not have any other strikes, two is enough for me! I hope it does not take an injury, death, accident or property damage to get the needed attention this vehicle needs.

4 Gasoline Fuel System problem of the 2002 Chevrolet Silverado 2500

Failure Date: 01/04/2011

We have a 2500 hd also with failed injectors. We were not injured nor killed. However, oil and diesel blew out on roadway and on the engine of truck. I do not know if this caused an accident with the vehicle behind me or not. How many accidents could have happened and no one realized it was from the oil of our truck. Further more chevy knows this is a problem. So how many people have to get hurt or die before they take care of the problem. Of everyone I have talked to only one person was under warranty and they made it by 14 days. Chevy has a problem and needs to fix it, and not with an extended warranty. This is my first chevy and will be my last. Maybe that is why chevy needed bail out money.

6 Gasoline Fuel System problem of the 2001 Chevrolet Silverado 2500

Failure Date: 12/23/2008

My vehice would stall out on me at any time for about 2 months it didn't matter what speed I was doing or where I was it would stall out so I would have to coast to the side of the road with no power steering and wait to crank the vehicle back up. Then December 23 2008 I was on my way home and it completely stopped I couldn't get it to crank battery was completely dead and it was at night on a highway. I took it to every dealer ship and every mechanic and noone could tell me what was wrong with it. Finally I looked online at recalls and found that there is a recall for the exact make and model of my vehicle but when I called GMC they told me that there was no recall for my vehicle so I went and paid out of my own pocket to fix this problem. This is a major problem that they have found but aren't doing anything about it for me I mean if they have the recall already for the same vehicle then why isn't my vehicle included?.
