The contact owns a 2002 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 hd. While backing up the vehicle at 1 mph, the rearview mirror became unstable. The contact crashed into a telephone pole and the brake lights cracked. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer and they stated that gm was aware of the rearview mirror failure; however, there was no current remedy. The cost to repair the damages made to the vehicle would be $4,500. The vehicle has not been repaired. The manufacturer stated that someone would call the contact. The failure mileage was 14,593 and current mileage was 14,661.

As a result, he could not determine the location of the trailer while attempting to change lanes at less than 65 mph. The dealer from where the vehicle was purchased stated that nothing could be done and recommended that she call the manufacturer. The manufacturer could not assist.
