On 8/25/2025 I purchased a used 2015 chevy Silverado 2500hd from a auto dealer and they had put new tires on the truck that aren't rated for a 2500 hd, I contacted them and they offered me $400 to replace them with the correct tires that cost me $1319. 78 they refuse to help me anymore which is putting my life and others at stake if a tire is to blow out hauling heavy loads that the tires aren't rated for. That 3/4 ton truck is suppose to have tires with a (e) rating, also the tpms system does't work because all the tires are under inflated for that truck. They have been contacted about this issue; fmvss no. 120: fmvss no. 139: fmvss no. 138 cover this issue! the dealership violated the NHTSA standards and consumer protection laws among other laws.

I was driving to an event and I noticed my truck was pulling slightly. As I pulled onto the freeway and accelerated, I felt and heard a thumping sound but could not distinguish it between the pattern in the freeway or an issue with a tire. I continued to accelerate and the tire blew at about 55 mph. I was pulling a 5th wheel in a construction zone and was not immediately able to safely pull off the roadway. Extensive damage was done to the body of the truck with a current estimate at $4,832. 18. The rim and tire were also destroyed with the rim being valued at $841. 08 and tire at $408.

Day after driving to n a snow storm the vehicles stabilitrak and traction control light and message to service those came on the dash and a sudden lose of power. I pulled over and put it in park noticing the gear indicator on the dash was gone. I put in drive and could barely move. So I shifted to 1st gear then back to park and into drive and the light came off and it was back to normal. The next day I started the vehicle and the light was on again with the check engine light. And stuck in limp mode. There are forums I've read with thousands of people with the same problem. The vehicle is available for inspection. The safety concerns are the traction control and stabilitrak can affect the way it handles and brakes. The vehicle will be going to dealership. There where no warning light prior to. The lights and systems failed simultaneously. This vehicle only has 44000 miles on it, no rust the frame is mint. This is a very clean truck and shouldn't be having this kind of problem.

Numerous times since first taking possession of new vehicle trucks electronic emergency braking system has activated while driving all on its own without warning. Several times while on slower side roads and several times while at interstate speeds, twice coming very close to a head on collision and once coming close to being rear ended while towing a car on a trailer by a semitrailer. The last time there was a message on the drivers information center that stated "service parking brake" the truck has been out of service use to several dealers to diagnose the problem to no avail. I've explained to the dealers its like having a blown tire, you can't predict when it will happen. Its a very dangerous situation. Second the goodyear wrangler tires tend to slide on curves in wet weather. This happens whenever the road is wet and you are on a curve. Both these defects have been reported to the manufacturer as well as servicing dealers. Very dangerous truck.

The abs light came on and the brake light. The power steering is bad and the steering wheel shakes when I brake, I got the brakes and rotors changed and the problem persisted.

Vibration in vehicle prior to tire blow out on freeway traveling approximately 70 mph. . Appears to be a tread separation type failure. Tires are bf goodrich all terrain ta ko baz with approximately 27000 miles on them. Size is lt265/75r16. Tires were rotated and checked for proper inflation by professional tire shop approximately 4 days prior to failure.

Cant remember what happened I black out and woke up with cops around me. The front end of the truck is wrecked. Airbags did not deploy.

I went to buy new tires for the first time and they called me back and asked had the truck been in a wreck and no it hadn't. They asked had I bought it new and the answer was yes. My truck has been driven by me a 53 year old woman and has been taken care of. They said they had never seen anything like this. My rim was broken all the way through.

I have changed all 4 new tires in 4 different times every yrs not sure if that a wheel problem. And also fix my fuel injection system that was give me a problem in the past. Now I replace all new rotor brake discs and pad in 30 minutes out from a mechanical shop it's show a engine light now saying range shift inhibited on my dashboard. And when I'm shifting to drive it just reverse instead of drive. Now is back in the shop for now problem to come. From garden city kansas.

The contact was uncertain if the failure was related to wheel dimensions or the suspension. The contact was unable to schedule a repair within a reasonable timeframe with cheap Chevrolet (714 w water st, flemingsburg, ky 41041, (606) 845-2261) and kerry Chevrolet (7500 alexandria pike, alexandria, ky 41001, (859) 474-2826); however, the contact was informed that the two rear tires and front driver's side tire may need to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was not available.

I have had two valve stem failures in the last two months. The valve stems that were put in when I replaced the tires are rated at 65 psi max. The trucks recommended tire pressure is 80 psi. The two tire installers that I talked to say the 65 psi valve stems are installed for all vehicles. Is this really safe?.

Purchased the truck from car geeks and they said it was a great truck and we would have no problem towing our fifth wheel trailer. Well we took it on a trip to phoenix from tucson and we noticed that the truck was not handling very well when we got home I noticed that the passenger side tire was gouged out all the way around the inside bead of the tire also noticed that only the upper control arm had been replaced and nothing else. All of the front suspension was in really bad condition also. Along with the steering you can only turn the steering wheel a little ways.

At approximately 42,000 miles, while traveling at 65 miles per hour on an interstate highway, one goodyear wrangker sr-a (265/65r20 lr e) tire slipped a belt producing an extremely rough ride and potential of catastrophic failure. Spare tire was used to replace faulty tire. Within another 100 miles, a second tire displayed the same failure.

Driving south on interstate 15 in #1 lane south of cedar city, utah. The truck suddenly shook violently and within seconds there was a loud explosion with debris fly a head of me. I fought to control my vehicle and was able to slow down to pull off on the shoulder of the road with hitting any one. The tire that exploded was on left front. The entire tread came off of the tire and tire separated where the tire was seamed together during manufacture. There was extensive damage to the vehicle bent front bumper, tore the wheel well liner, dented the front door in several places and dented rocker panel under the front door. The tire was a bf goodrich all terrain t/a ko, lt285r70/17 load range e. The tire had a 50,000 mile warranty but had just a little 20,000 miles with 10/32 tread on all tires which means there was 60% tread life left in the tires. When I was almost home, I notice a type of vibration like a tire was unbalance or out of round. I check the other three tires and discovered the right rear tire had large bulge across the tread which indicates that another tire was failing. Took the tires to the dealer and told me that me these failures were do to a manufacturer/workmanship defect. Michelin which makes the bf goodrich tires wants me to pay for a new set of tires and damage to my truck and verbally they tell me they may reimburse me but will not put that in writing. I do not trust them and will never buy bf goodrich or michelin tires again. Michelin has a recall on this line of tires in various sizes but not in my size. Do not understand why my size was not recalled because all sizes in the all terrain line are made with the same materials and manufacturing process the same for all sizes. The only difference is the size of the tire.

Goodyear wrangler 260-60r20" 2nd tire to have broken belts causing extreme vibratio, the entire front end shacks vilantly when applying brakes trying to stop had to have replaced. Driving on us 58 west with no shoulder to pull off highway.

Takata recall, first the truck was overheating, then oil leaking, then and tire truck full of rust spots and still rusty in badging, then $14,000 repair to replace the entire rear end of the truck, they said the wheels were going to fall off. I bought this truck new, it has 30,000 miles. I paid $87,000. I contacted chevy corporate office, no response I contacted bob bell of bel air maryland where I bought the truck also no response.

My truck was parked outside my house and this drunk driver hit my truck in the middle of the night. And mest up all of one side of the truck including my engine,baby seats and tires and windows.

4 rugged terrain t/a lt265/75r-16 purchased at odometer 91681. Tires rotated at 100955. Following happened while highway driving. On 8/19/2015, odometer 109831, vehicle vibrating, found bubble (tread separation) on left rear tire. Tire was replaced under warranty. On 8/4/2017, odometer 121840, vehicle vibrating, found bubble (tread separation) on right rear tire. Have not taken tire to dealer yet. Front tires seem to be "singing" with a "rhythm" (best I can explain). I'm having all checked out today. I don't trust these tires anymore.

My vehicle vibrates and shakes at varying speed but mostly between 60 and 75mph. I have been to dealership three times for diagnosis and tires replaced twice. The dealership tested the vehicle with sensors and can not isolate the vibration. I have only had vehicle a few months and question the safety of the vehicle. I wish I had researched the truck on the internet prior to purchase because the problem I am having is known and has a name "the chevy shake" I hope others will continue to report these concerns because Chevrolet needs to recognize they have a problem and address the issue without the runaround customers are being forced to endure. The vehicle issue needs a recall.

Had a vibration problem with this 2015 Silverado 2500hd since new sept. 2015 at differing speeds, felt in the seat and center console. Vibration is on city streets, highways, all roads. Center console has a very noticeable shake to it. Vibration at times is moderate, at other times more severe. At 2500 miles brought to gwatney Chevrolet in jacksonville, ar. Three goodyear tires replaced, road forced balanced. At 11,000 miles brought to gwatney Chevrolet two more goodyear tires replaced, road forced balanced. In gwatney notes, it took nine tires to find two good tires to put on my truck. At 18,000 miles returned to gwatney Chevrolet, service manager stated the problem was the tires and I would have to pay a portion of the cost. My response was I shouldn't have to pay for a problem that the truck had since it was new. The service manager was hostile, argumentative and refused to do any more work on the truck. I complained to gm customer care, they wanted to give me $100 and close the case. I escalated my complaint to the gm executive level, they appear to be more accommodating, they stated they are going to have a gm technical assistance team look at my problem. Right now, I'm awaiting further response from gm.

Vehicle shakes or vibrates at most speeds. The vibration is worst at 25-45 and 65mph+. It causes driver fatigue and nausea. Tires have been road forced balanced by dealer and drive shaft replaced in attempts to fix problem. No solution has been found by dealer. Dealer acknowledges the vibrations and says the vibration is normal operation for this vehicle leading me to believe that a recall should be issued.

This is the 5th time my brakes are hanging up and over heating the wheel. Smoking severly. Had problem with abs. System so I unplugged sensors from front wheels. And on the 1st the right passenger side did it again. Doesn't matter if on state hwy or city streets. Always starts when moving. A wobble in steering wheel. Then pulling right or left depending on which wheel is locking.

Replaced all brake lines rusted through 107,000 miles on a 2004 truck. Aluminum wheels are pitted appears to be losing the coatiing the passenger side door is showing rust. Headliner is falling down in the front of the vehicle. The rear radio speakers are not working.

When temperatures drop below 30 degrees the tire pressure warning light and the low coolant light comes on. Took to dealership and they advised that both warning lights do that below 28 degrees. This has occurred since 2013 winter. Glow plugs going out one at time gm will only replace as they go out up to 120000 not enough being done with this.

Experienced tire separation at 70mph of a firestone steeltex radial a/t lt245/75r16 load range e m/s. Tire separation damaged the right rear quarter panel and forward rear quarter panel. Took the truck to a tire store to have the other tires inspected. The remaining tires where all found to be separating.

Right front tire sidewall blew out. Tire is a michelin ltx ms2 size 275 70 18. This is the same series tire that michelin has already had a recall on but a different size. Can only suspect that this tire size has same problem since there is no visible evidence of the tire being cut anywhere as inspected by black's tire service in wilmington nc which was the nearest michelin dealer at the end of my trip to nc. Also have picture of tire if needed.

Purchased a set of 4 . Federal couragia mt 33/12. 50/20 from sd wheelcorp in April 2012. After approx 16000 miles 2 of the four have tread/belt seperation creating bubbles on the tires. The tires have always been rotated and correct pressure was maintained. This is a defective and possibly deadly tire and should be recalled.

The contact moved off the roadway and discovered that the tires were flat. He then tried to remove the spare tire from the vehicle but to no avail. The vehicle was later towed to the contact¿s home and the tire was replaced. The manufacturer was contacted and a complaint was filed. The manufacturer also advised him to take the vehicle to the dealer so that the dealer could show him how to remove the spare tire. The failure and the current mileages were approximately 46,000.

Vibration for the rear of the truck had been doing this since new. Took it to the dealer they balanced the tires in 7 Mar 2012. No change vibration still there. Took it to discount tire rebalanced still no go. I wrote it off thinking this was normal for 2500 series trucks. Aug 2015 I upgraded the rims to forged j rated 6,600lbs and tires to h rated 4,940lbs. Because of the higher air pressure this made the vibration worse. I put the truck on jack stands and ran it in gear to trouble shoot the problem. What I found both rear axle hubs are warped causing the wheels to wobble severely. I took it to the dealer they initially did not want to listen to me and I had a video of it. They finally looked at the video and went to check out the truck. An hour later they call paying the truck was ready for pickup. They told me it was only out . 015ths. I a trained mechanic and this is simply bs. I can see the wobble with by bare eyes that¿s more than . O15 thousands. On top of that it¿s not covered under the warranty. The truck had 96000 plus miles on it att. The dealer did not document this and basically wrote it off. I have a video of this but it¿s too big to send and it¿s in wmv format. Please give me an address and point of contact so I can send you the cd. The video says it all this is a factory defect plain and simple.

While towing a 5th wheel trailer at 60 mph, the right rear (passenger) wheel came off the truck. Five of the eight wheel studs sheared off, three others lost their lug nuts. The trailer weight did not exceed the axle, wheel or tire weight ratings.

The manufacturer was contacted and informed him there are no recalls and he would have to pay for any repairs. The dealer was contacted by the manufacturer who informed the contact to bring the vehicle in for them to run a diagnostic test but at a cost to the contact. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 61,000.
