The contact owns a 2005 Chevrolet silverado. The contact stated that last week while he was driving 45 mph he applied the brakes and the abs malfunctioned. The brakes locked and caused him to continue driving through an intersection. A local mechanic replaced the brakes which did not solve the problem. The vehicle was at the dealership when the complaint was filed. The technician stated that two speed sensors caused the failure to occur. The vehicle will be repaired at the owners expense. The failure mileage was approximately 49,000. The current mileage was approximately 49,500.
