The contact owns a 2017 Chevrolet Silverado 3500. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the vehicle failed to upshift while depressing the accelerator pedal. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a local independent mechanic and was diagnosed with a stuck torque converter. The contact stated that dtc code: p0741 was retrieved. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to the NHTSA hotline for assistance.
