Air Conditioner Problems of Chevrolet Sonic

My chevy Sonic stalls while driving it. The engine shuts down, door locks cycle, lights go on and off, power steering and brakes go out, rpms drop, and until today, it turns back on, the rpms jump sky high, and the motor revs back to life and it goes fine again for awhile. But today it stalled sitting in mcdonalds parking lot and not only didn't start again, but had to be jumped. I can only imagine what would have happened if my granddaughter and I had her in heavy traffic when that happened! every other time it's been going down the road. One time I was in traffic and it almost caused an accident. It happens almost every day. Especially if I'm running the air conditioner. It happens at all speeds. I have taken it to 3 mechanics and it doesn't �throw any codes�. It did show a little issue with the alternator so we replaced it but it didn't charge anything. I've done some research and this is a common issue with several years of chevy Sonic cars. Unfortunately our outcry is going nowhere. Gm seems determined to ignore us until someone dies and they get sued. Can you please get them to recall the engine or whatever it is that's causing this issue? please?!!! thank you!.

When air conditioning is turned on call loses power if stop at a red light or stop sign you can press the accelerator all the way down car is very slow taking off and sometime window control don't work. Air-condition blows hot air at times.

Was driving about 30 mph , air conditioning was on recirculate I blacked out and totaled the car . Hospital ran a carbon monoxide test and it was high ,was the cause of blackout. Now have memory problems and severe back pain.

Car started over heating as I was driving in the city as soon as I turned the air conditioning on it started throwing hot air from vents then the over heating symbol came on and then it started to flash a check engine light and engine started to slow down I had to stop and open the hood and let the engine cool down then it flashed code 84 and then it started to over heat again.

While traveling south on interstate 95 in the right lane in the area of mile marker 7 in south carolina a piece of foreign debus was ran over by the car in from of me. The large piece of metal bounced of the road and hit the front bumper grill and air conditioning condenser ( 24 inch piece of metal it appeared to be something that would hold a semi track spare tire in place) the car I was behind didn't stop to ensure my safety however they did brake and continue on their journey. I pulled off as soon as I could get in a safe place and I have attached the images of the damage and the estimate to get the repairs done. My deductible is $1000. 00. The contact owns a 2015 Chevrolet Sonic. When the air conditioner was activated, the vehicle produced an abnormal mold odor. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the filter needed to be cleaned. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 8,000.

While driving home, the vehicle started to smoke. The windows were rolled down, the air conditioner was off and it is about 86 degrees outside. This isn't the first quirky incident to happen in this vehicle. I just bought it about 7 months ago. All the standard maintenance has been done to this vehicle. Not sure why it is smoking. After it being in our care for 4 months, the check engine light will also not go off, and the remote start doesn't work anymore. The driver side door has become loose as well. No one has been hanging on it, just simply opening and closing the door. Also the plastic cap on the shift has popped off. I will be getting it checked tomorrow and possibly getting rid of it sooner than later. This is a very poor gm model car.

The air conditioner makes a horrible squealing noise. It does this like clockwork every 30 seconds while running the ac on 2 or above. It is so loud even with the radio on you heaer it going down the road. It started right after I hit 2000 miles on the car and about a month after buying it. It condinues to do it a year later and I have taken it to the dealer 8 times, the say it is normal.
