My radio which controls everything regarding charging and bluetooth, it has a touch screen which has now become completely unresponsive. The only time it will ever let you touch like normal is if the car sits under the hot summer sun. And even then the screen starts touching random parts of the screen messing up settings . It had issues calibrating every now and then when I purchased it also. That was in winter.

105000 miles: lost brakes extremely hard to push brake pedal. Lost vacuum, enabling to stop car safely. Took brake vacuum line off vacuum pump and plug pump so oil don’t leak out pump. Then join the line to an existing vacuum line. Problem solved no issues since. 205000 miles: repeatedly theft mode, flickering dashboard, and dead battery issues. Battery was good charged, alternator charging right. To lead with fusebox circuit board needed to be re-soldered. Have no idea how it happened but no problem since. I still have all factory parts on car. This is a stick shift 5 speed. Get 40ish bit more miles a gallon. Keep oil changed as normal. I float gears when putting around. Leaving less stress for clutch issues. As I’m 208000 so miles still have few miles before replacing factory clutch brake pads belts plugs etc… I keep check at all wear clean up dust collected grease all joints every season. So can’t say much about car being a problem.

About a month ago my car, while driving, started acting up. My odometer would fluctuate and not give me my speed, my lower tire pressure came on, my check engine light came on, power steering would go in and out, and acceleration would fluctuate. I brought it in to be looked at, after 3 days of hearing nothing I called and they told me something was wrong with the onstar module. After 4 days of having my car back, same problems. Brought it back in, they called an engineer in since they had no idea what was going on and a week later I got my car back. 4 days later I again had to bring it in for the same stuff and after 9 days of playing phone tag then gave it back. I have had my car back for 2 weeks without any problems, today while 35 miles away from home every single light was flashing on the dash board. My odometer didnt work at all and I could only go 30 miles per hour. I stopped my car, shut it off and turned it back on and nothing changed. The newest ordeal is my break light will turn on and beep at me anywhere from 3 seconds to 5 minutes. With it being the holidays and having to work all week I see no point in bringing my car in for nothing to be fixed for a 4th time and being without a car because I'm only 20 for who knows how long when I have a job to get to that's only 5 minutes away. I'm am so beyond irritated and want to throw this car into a trash can.

On 17 Sep 2018 while going 60 mph on I-65, the vehicle started beeping, the check engine light started flashing, the doors started locking and unlocking on their own, the fuel gauge went from half a tank to empty and the vehicle started to lose power. Pressing the gas would not make the car go faster; my car slowed to 40 mph and stayed at that speed for two minutes and then lost power completely. I had to cut over to the side of the road to prevent myself from getting into a serious accident (an idle car on an eight lane interstate would not have been a good time), turned the vehicle off and then waited 5 minutes. I turned the vehicle back on, and it ran for an additional five minutes before having the same symptoms. Repeat one more time and I was able to make it home safely. The next day, 18 Sep 2018, I had it towed to my mechanic who said that based on odb2 scan on the vehicle that the engine computer wasn't talking to any of the other systems and that they couldn't fix this problem; it had to be taken to a dealership. The dealership said they have to run a wire trace to figure out which wire is shorting out the system.

The car will power down while driving, despite having adequate charge. The message "press power button again to shut off" appears even though the power button has not been pressed. Then the car shuts down and coasts to a stop.

I was driving on the highway and the engine light comes on. The car starts to stall. I went and got the codes read. Everything came back that its the transmission. Chevy claims they're not sure if the warranty will cover all the cost. The place I got the car from didn't even provide me with any carfaxs. I called them and they didn't give any solution. I am disappointed.

My front windshield wipers don't work when the windshield gets wet. After the sun dries the car, the wipers work fine. I had to keep stopping on the side of the road wiping off the windshield so I could see where I was going. I also turned on the defroster to help dry the windshield. The automatic daytime running lights only come on at night. I have to manually turn them on during the day.

2013-2015 chevy Sparks have issues with the kr12b windshield wiper relay internal to the uhfb to be inoperable. Necessary to replace the fuse-block. It is not right that only rosner chevy in melbourne FL is the only auto store in the state you can buy parts for this vehicle. Rosner chevy only allows sheep to visit them. If you would like to fix your vehicle yourself they are trying to make it impossible. They also charge over $100. 00 just to tell you what is wrong with it. Then they mark up the price of the part if you get it fixed with them and charge you for labor. You can only buy one manuel for this vehicle from helms and it is for mechanics. It is very unsafe to have vehicles on the road that only one company knows how to fix. Rosner chevy also stated that they will not give information out because it is top secret gm information that we as consumers are not allowed to have. This is illegal and something needs to be done. There should be manuals available to the general public that don't cost $200. 00. Haynes please make a manuel for chevy Sparks since gm won't. Having only 27661 miles on a 2013 chevy Spark there should not be problems with your windshield wipers. This is a major safety concern that you have allowed gm to get away with and it needs to stop. Gm should be required to fix all kr12b windshield wiper relay free of charge because they sold us faulty ones. Because there is no information available to the consumer. I replaced a windshield wiper motor even though it was not bad because when tested by a mechanic it tested bad but really it was the wiper relay that was bad.

While driving the radio will turn off and also turn off seatbelt chime and onstar will disable and key chime will not work.

This car accelerates on its own even when clutch is on. Also the motor sounds like it going to blow out on its own and stops and goes as fast it came. This cars has only 53000 miles and has been to dealer several times.

Bought a 2014 in July 2016,not even had the vehicle 6 months the radio,onstar,seatbelt chimes all went out. It should have been on the recall list dated 6/2016. Now having issues with the ignition,wont start. Something needs to be done with this. God forbid if the vehicle locked up while I am driving. Thank you.

Purchased a used 2014 chevy Spark in nashua nh in 2016 I had the vehicle not even 4 months when I was driving down the road and all of sudden the on star,radio,chimes for seat belts all went out brought in to shop charged me 50,00 and they told me that would cost another 100. 00 to further diagnose it checked out the recents recalls on this vehicle and it appears that there were recalls on the same situation but my car was not one of the VIN number so what can be done about this? I believe my VIN should have been covered thank you.

The code 95 appeared out of nowhere and will not clear. No there is no cruise control and all the buttons on the steering wheel do not work not even the light this car we bought a year ago have had multiple recalls and problems with including something major in the engine to the point it could not be driven safely.

While my daughter was driving the radio locked and screen went blank all radio functions stopped working. All warning chimes stopped working. From may 2015 to sept. 2015, my vehicle high-revved and died on the highway three times. . . The same three lights would come traction control, check engine, reduced engine power. Due to the timing of incidents, autonation refused to accept the vehicle although it was warrantied. I called gm corporate and explained that this was a danger to the safety of others and jeopardized my life, and they made attempts to remedy the situation at hand. . Autonation called and apologized for the lack of customer service, but they did not schedule an appointment to find the problem. I took it to another chevy house, and they also refused the car. Driving it endangered my life as well as other drivers. Fast forward a couple months, I find out the throttle body is bad, and no recall has been put out. On a separate occasion, condensation had begun on the interior of my vehicle. Upon further inspection, my floorboards were sopping wet, and water began to fill the cab of my car. Autonation did find that a hose had been cut and had been leaking fluid throughout the cab. Today, 2-9-16 at appx. 0426, my vehicle began filling the cab with noxious fumes and smoking upon parking from underneath the hood for no obvious reason. No lights or chimes initiated inside the vehicle. This vehicle could have set fire at any moment had I kept driving. This vehicle is very dangerous to myself and those around, and no one at autonation takes it seriously. I hope by advancing my problems with the 2014 chevy Spark will steer potential buyers the other way, and I also hope that gm will do the right thing and buy the car back. When a car dies on the most dangerous highway in texas for no reason and starts smoking, there is obviously something wrong.

Car accelerates on its own when braking which is highly dangerous in traffic as car jumps forward when it does this. Continuously runs at over 4000rpm. Car stalls when accelerating making pulling out into traffic or coming off an exit ramp quite difficult and will rev on its own while driving. Continuous engine noise as if car is being redlined. Car also has difficulty going in reverse. Emergency brake does not hold properly. Car will roll backward when in drive and on a small incline. Electrical issues with car where stereo will spontaneously change stations and the dash lights will flicker. Have made complaints to gm continuously and had in dealership more than 11 times for repair of issue. Car was bought in Feb 2015, first taken in to dealership for issue in Feb 2015. It is now Feb 2016 and gm refusing to address issue. Car falls under lemon law and they are stalling to wait out time frame.

The vehicle will randomly rev and stall. Took vehicle in to be repair on five occasions dealers drive it for maybe 30 miles and say issue can not be found.

I was pulled over by a police officer and issued a fix it ticket because according to the officer neither of my rear brake lights were working. I might add that the officer followed me for several blocks and saw me stop at least 4 times before pulling me over.

We bought are 2014 Chevrolet Spark new and since we have had it these are the problems we have had. Four times we have went to start the car turned key and nothing happens, no warning lights nothing it's like there is no battery in car also key gets hot and 3 times we have lost power, once turning from a traffic light pushed gas pedal would not go over 2 miles an hour let off pedal pressed again bogged down let off pedal again then when pressed it the car shifted hard and took off fast. We took the car to dealer 3 times the service department said nothing wrong fed up called Chevrolet corperation took it back out to dealer they said still nothing wrong. Fed up.

This is the 3rd time this has occurred. Extreme life threating problem when a vehicle is merging the freeway and will not acelerate to the speed of freeway traffic!!!!!!!! Chevrolet dealer has not resolved the issue.

Car stalls will put the pedal to the metal and will not advance. It will start to move slow after a while not reaching full speed. Transmission gear display will be blank in dash console. Car moves at a very high rpm reading. Transmission will kick if set on neutral and then shif to drive. This has happen twice in the short amount of time that we owe the car. The problem is that we have taken the car twice to the dealer but is working fine at such time so they can not detect the problem. First time it happen my wife was at a stop light and when it happen to me I had just started the car. This is a very serious and hazardous situation.

The air conditioning system does not work. I've had it to the dealers 6 times since July. It does not blow cold air. The compressor has been replaced; the expansion valve has been replaced; the system was drained and recharged. Nothing has fixed the problem.
