Conditions were snow and ice. Both times I had recently switched between 2wd & 4wd. I don't recall which position drive was in. Both times depressing the brake pedal produced very little braking effect, with one time my car went thru a busy intersection (I thought I was lucky to not have accident).
Power brakes went out and vehicle was very hard to stop. Manufacturer acknowledged ongoing problem with Suburban brakes, would not compensate owner.
Rear brakes drum failed, causing severe shake in dash and steering wheel.
