The contact owns a 1999 Chevrolet Suburban. The contact stated that the vehicle stalled several times without warning due to a defective fuel injection pump and pump mounted driver. The components were replaced twice under the manufacturers extended warranty. The contact stated that the problem has worsened and the failure continues to recur without warning. The failure mileage was 80,000 and the current mileage was 134,000.
The contact owns a 1999 Chevrolet Suburban 6. 5 diesel. When driving between 35-65 mph the engine will stall, especially on an incline. The fuel injectors and pump were replaced by the dealer. After the repair the failure resurfaced. Since the warranty expired he was ineligible for a free remedy. The current mileage was 147,000. The failure mileage was 97,000. Updated 11/17/09 the injector pump needed to be replaced which had internal failure. Updated 11/18/09.
