Other Fuel System Pump problems of the 2000 Chevrolet Suburban

I've had to replace my fuel pump 3 times in the last 6 years. I found out that there was a recall in 2005, but I bought my vehicle in 2011. The dealership will not honor the recall because it's not a open recall any longer.

In the process of replacing the fuel pump for the 3rd time. . First one was under warranty but the next 2 are on me. . Now my mechanic informed me of a newer design . . . Should have came out earlier.

The contact owns a 2000 Chevrolet Suburban. The contact was driving 70 mph when the vehicle stalled without warning. The contact was able to pull over to the side of the road but was unable to restart the vehicle. The vehicle was towed to a local mechanic. The mechanic stated that the fuel pump failed and needed to be replaced. The contact did not call the manufacturer. The contact had the fuel pump replaced two months prior to the recent failure. The failure mileage was 201,000.

The consumer's vehicle engine is stalling, and the fuel pump was just replaced from overheating . Now, heard about the recall from gm. Bought in 2001 and had problems since the vehicle was bought. When stopped at a stop sign the vehicle completely stalled out, this has happened numerous times.
