Three problems related to seat belt have been reported for the 2001 Chevrolet Suburban. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
The passenger side second seat seat belt will not retract.
Nar 1/29/2003. Within the first 3 months of owing the vehicle, the safety belt on the rear passenger 3rd seat malfunctioned. The seat belt can't be pulled away from the seat back to seure it and any passengers. Gm would not cover the seat belt under warranty, they stated that the mileage limit on the warranty had expired.
The passenger seat belt locked up so tight, the passenger was unable to move. The seat belt did not give any room for moving comfortably.
