Three problems related to tire sidewall have been reported for the 2002 Chevrolet Suburban. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Blowout when sidewall separated from tire body; tire rim and front end damaged.
Consumer called complaining about having tire problems. Vehicle wasted the inside of the front tires more that what its regular usage would be. Dealer was contacted, and did four alignments in less then a year. Manufacturer sated that there was nothing they could do more than just an alignment.
While driving at 70 mph the passenger side rear tire exploded from the sidewall. Also driver's side rear tire developed a hole in the sidewall, and the tire deflated. The cause of both failures was undetermined.
