The dealer says the Suburban is not part of the recall even though it is the exact same problem in almost the same car. This recall needs to be expanded. The platting or plastic covering on interior door handle separates from handle along a seam on top edge of the passenger door handle. Passenger's hand was cut severely requiring medical attention. Purchased new and own a 2007 chevy Suburban. We have cut our hands several times opening the driver side door when pulling the inside door handle inward. This has been caused by the peeling fake chrome plastic that covers the inside handle. This peeling fake chrome creates a sharp edge as it peels off that is directly positioned to rub across one's fingers as you pull the door handle in toward you to open the door.
Chrome plating on front door handles is flaking off creating sharp edges.
