Four problems related to power train have been reported for the 2008 Chevrolet Suburban. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Tl- the contact owned a 2008 Chevrolet Suburban. The contact stated while driving at 55 mph, the rear axle broke. As a result, the brakes would not engage when the brakes were supressed causing the contact to crash into a concrete barrier. The air bags failed to deploy. A police report was filed. The contact sustained a broken wrist and neck soreness. The contact has not seeked any medical attention. The vehicle was not drivable and was towed to her home address. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired as of yet. A dealer was not contacted. The manufacturer had not been informed of failure. The failure mileage was 140,000. Rd.
I was driving my vehicle several days after having a routine oil change and the vehicle started to slow down. I took my car in to be checked out and was told that I need a new engine, the truck has a loss of power due to the stabilizing trak issue. After reading all the complaints online this seems to be a problem which needs to be addressed by chevy.
Tort converter on transmission was shot. . . Had to replace entire transmission at 135,000 miles.
New car purchased in 2008. Multiple issues with car consuming excess oil and losing engine power. 27,000 miles had to replace all amf lifters in engine 29,000 miles had to replace throttle body assembly system 31,000 miles had to install new oil pump, gasket and seal 32,000 miles had to replace oil gasket 37,000 miles oil intake system plugs burning oil and oil on intake valve. Had to clean engine and installl 8 valve seals.
