One problem related to trunk wiring has been reported for the 2008 Chevrolet Suburban. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Rear hatch failure. Electric opening. Opened 24 inches and then closed under motor power. Caught dog in the door though no serious harm done. However it did not reverse as it is supposed to do when it comes down on an object like a child or dog. Dealer replaced struts which seems to have fixed the problem. This is a serious flaw. It was just lucky it only caught the dog's tail. If it had caught her head, she would be dead.
